About

About T.J.
It's never an easy decision to make a career change. But after 20+ years in the sports marketing industry, tackling everything from minor league baseball to grassroots sports/events management, and Corporate America (sports apparel business), it was time. The hours logged on planes and in hotels had kept me away from my wife, our boys activities, and more importantly, being happy. It was a fun, successful run, but it was time to take the risk and follow my passion: writing.
Writing has always been part of my DNA, even in the sports industry. My first boss and mentor realized my ability to put thoughts on paper, and so it started. I earned my chops by writing sponsorship proposals, marketing plans, ad copy, and scripting television programming. As time passed, and tech advanced, that led to creating website content, blogs, and more. I realized that as much as I loved the challenge of developing and managing events, I was happiest being creative. It was a good decision.
So here I am. I'm looking for my next opportunity, so if you have one, I'd love to hear from you, especially about full-time opportunities. If you need a standout copywriter or communications pro to help take your company to the next level, I've got the skillset to do it. Let's talk and see where the relationship can go!

What can T.J. do for you?
Most importantly?
He'll get the job done.
As a writer, he goes about his business the old school way. He does the research. Asks the questions. He will go above and beyond to give the client or employer what they want, at a time when others rely on shortcuts. He knows the importance of establishing relationships, a forgotten art in these times of the "get it done and move on mentality."
As a marketer, he's seen the evolution of the industry. He started in the days of word processors and fax machines, and has evolved with the times. He has adapted to the high tech, high stakes world the industry has become. At the end of the day, he will do everything he can to build your brand, and make your company better.. And if he can't, he'll tell you , because respectful, old school guys don't bother don't BS those willing to give them an opportunity.
